A switch labelled "Mythos" briefly appeared inside the public version of Claude Code this week, alongside an identifier reading claude-mythos-1-preview. Anthropic's language has quietly slid from "we do not plan to make this generally available" to "in the near future," and the company now expects Mythos-class models to be widely available within six to twelve months.
